|Hockey Canada has instituted a new mandate that compels a parent of each player (hockey participant) to take the Respect in Sport course prior to the beginning of the House League season. This course is mandatory to have your child's registration approved. The cost of taking the course is $12 plus tax and is paid directly on line when taking the course. (program) As a parent you are only required to take the program once and there will be no requirement for re-taking the course again in the future. Also note that the course only needs to be completed once per family. (i.e. if you have more than one child registered in hockey you only need to take the course once) Only one person per household is required to take the course.
Please follow this link to take the course.
And be sure to sync your child's Hockey Canada (HCR) profile to your profile once you complete the course. If you have taken the Respect for Sport program for another sport you can import your parent certification over to the GTHL Data Base. (It is very simple and there is no cost to do so.)
